Have an Easier Morning

Anyone who know me, even a little bit, can tell you that I'm not a morning person.
However, over the years, I've learned a few tricks to help prepare me for the dreaded morning. So if you're not a morning person like myself, please read on and hopefully we can help make your mornings a little less dreary.

Get everything ready the night before
This will stop you from rushing around and trying to find something to wear or rushing to pack a lunch. I used to stumble around the apartment trying to pack my lunch and get ready for work. Now, I have a lot less stress by packing my lunch and laying out my clothes the night before.

Take a shower at night
The night before, I'll wash my hair. In the morning, I'll rinse off in the shower. If my hair looks greasy, I'll use a dry shampoo. I do this for a couple of reasons,  it lets me sleep in a little longer and it saves me time because my hair takes a long time to dry, even with blowdrying it.

Try setting a few alarms
I have two alarms set. One at 5:15am and the other at 5:45am. I have a hard time waking up with just one alarm, and this second alarm helps me to stay awake or wake me up if I fall asleep after my first alarm.

Give yourself time to wake up
This is another reason I have two alarms and set them about an hour before I need to be at work. It gives me time to wake up and prepare for the day.

Try a light alarm
A light alarm may be the best gift I've ever gotten when I started my job. If you don't know what a light alarm is, it's an alarm clock that will slowly light up (like sunrise) to help you wake up naturally.

What are some of your tricks to help yourself have a stress free morning?
